Did anyone miss me?
I kind of disappeared 6 months ago. A lot has happened since then. The house I was renting a room in was shut down for violations and the landlord, being the kind-hearted, nice person he is, waited until the very last minute to tell us of this, giving us a whole 7 days to find a new place to live. I was forced to move into a halfway house in Brooklyn and it was an absolute nightmare. I wound up having to stay there for 3 months while I looked for work and dealt with the stress of having a drug addicted, unstable landlord. Two shitty landlords in a row, how lucky am I?
Anyway, I finally found a job. A pretty sweet one at that. I'm working for a company that does sound and video installation for celebrities and other big name clients. It's a very small company, with only less than 15 people on our floor at all times, but I love it. I'm starting at the bottom, working in the shipping side of the office and prepping the hardware and supplies the installers need to take to their corresponding jobs. It's the first time I have a job in a field that I love and I work with like-minded people.
Because of that job, I managed to move out of the shitty halfway house I was in and move into an apartment in Chinatown that I share with two nice twenty something females. The neighborhood is great and I really like it here. I also started seeing a very nice girl who lives in Queens and is as much a nerd as me, so things are going very well right now
So as you can see, I did not have much time to customize my desktop, smartphone, or work on Pixel-Perfekt at all. I'm sorry for just bailing without any word because I did want Pixel-Perfekt to branch into a community unlike any other. Not sure if that is possible now, but I may take some time to resurrect it if I think I have the time. I'm sorry to the Contributors and the Co-Founders of the group that I let down.
In custo related news, I made the switch from iOS to Android. iOS is going down the shitter in my opinion. There has been no major changes to the operating system EVER and I just grew tired of the lack of innovation. The last iPhone I was using was the 4S, and while I loved the size of it and the way it felt in my hand, I sold it and moved onto bigger and better things: the Samsung Galaxy S3 L710. It took me about 3 days to give in and root the thing and another 2 days to switch from the stock 4.1.1 ROM to the LiquidSmooth JellyBean 4.2.1 Beta 2 ROM with the KT747 kernel and I am absolutely LOVING IT! Took me a little while to get used to the size, and it is still a little big if I'm trying to text with one hand, but I still think Android will be making a big leap forward from this day forward. They are already controlling 53% of the market, and I think that will continue to improve unless Apple steps up their game.
Well I'm done ranting. I have to get ready to head to Queens. I'm glad to be back and I am going to quickly post a shot of my Galaxy S3 right now.
